BEHIND THE ARTWORK
Some say art should speak for itself, and I agree. However, understanding the story behind it sometimes helps us feel more connected.
Over time, I’ve met viewers who ask about the ideas behind my work. I think it’s only fair to share more about why I do what I do. I want to express my perspective, the thoughts behind my creations, and why I am so passionate about them.
I often find parallels between my daily life and my creative process. My inspiration comes from my childhood in the Polish countryside, my mother’s artistic eye as an interior decorator and painter, and my current surroundings in Miami Beach. The sky, the ocean, and the vibrant tropical colors influence my paintings.
I worked in business analytics for years but longed to be part of the creative world. Eventually, I channeled my energy into artistic projects, focusing recently on macro and abstract photography. It has been a journey—one that I must admit feels incredibly therapeutic.
My Process -
My work involves documenting my art up close and exploring every detail. I analyze how paint colors blend and textures interact and how these elements form a new world within a single piece. Some of my photographs are intentionally blurry—just as in life, not everything is clear, but uncertainty is part of the experience. I often imagine these images displayed on different surfaces, creating new dimensions.
Each piece is deeply personal and unique. I create multiple close-up images from a single painting, revealing hidden perspectives that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Abstract Collection -
My Abstract Collection originates from my paintings. Rather than capturing the complete composition, I zoom in on the intricate details—snapshots of acrylics, watercolors, and oils, sometimes with added textures that create depth and movement. This approach offers a fresh perspective, transforming a single painting into a series of unique visual experiences.
Natural Beauty Collection -
The Natural Beauty Collection is inspired by my surroundings—flowers, stones, and the organic details of nature. I am captivated by foliage, its vibrant colors, delicate edges, and even the subtle scent of the flowers I photograph. I aim to highlight nature’s intricate beauty and evoke a sense of peace in the viewer.
Stones also play a significant role in my work. They hold powerful properties, and their textures create a fascinating contrast between roughness and beauty. I capture their abstract patterns through a macro lens, revealing details often overlooked.
I truly enjoy the process of being in harmony with nature. When I photograph these natural elements, I feel a deep appreciation for life itself. My Natural Abstract Beauty Collection is an attempt to preserve these moments as purely as possible—untouched, mostly unedited, and organic.
We all live busy lives, often focused on the bigger picture. But sometimes, it’s the small details—the delicate veins of a leaf, the rough surface of a stone, the softness of a petal—that make life truly meaningful. The macro world is surprisingly beautiful, and I hope you find it as refreshing as I do.
